7th Grade Wellness is an exploratory course where students are exposed to weight and cardiovascular training principles, as well as a variety of different age appropriate health and wellness topics. Some of these topics include mental health (stress, depression, anxiety management), nutrition, alcohol and other drug abuse, and human growth and development. Students spend half of their class time learning about the above units and the other half of class time in the weight room/gymnasium being exposed to age appropriate strength and conditioning concepts.
